Are you considering purchasing a resale home?
A home purchase is usually the biggest investment a person will make in their lifetime, representing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. In comparison the price of a home inspection, given the dollar value of defects, safety issues or needed repairs that may be identified, is miniscule. Compared with other costs involved in the real estate transaction, a Home Inspection fee is a bargain. Especially given the potential negotiating strength the Home Inspection Report provides to a Buyer or Seller.
When preparing to buy a home we can let you know if the property you plan to purchase has significant issues or if it is in adequate shape. What we do is provide you with an independent, thorough review of the property. Our findings are not influenced by anyone else involved in the sale of the home, such as the seller or the realtor, as you will have hired Equitas Inspection Group and we will be working for you and no one else.
More than 50% of homebuyers today hire inspectors to inspect the properties they are considering purchasing. Most of these buyers have a clause in their purchase contracts that make the sale of the property being considered contingent upon receiving acceptable results from a professional home inspection. Buyers then have the option of voiding the purchase contract or renegotiating their offer should serious problems be found.
The cost of a home inspection varies by the inspector, the region and the size of home. Most inspections run from $250 to $350. You will find that our prices meet the average price by area. When you compare that cost to the potential price of many home repairs, the inspection is well worth the investment as it could save you thousands of dollars down the road.
